LakeSentry Settings for Databricks Cost Management
Settings is available to admins. It combines tenant-level administration with connector and billing configuration.
General
Section titled “General”Organization-level settings and display defaults.
Connector
Section titled “Connector”Configure Databricks connectors, review credential validation, inspect extraction runs, and manage the Data Sync schedule. Direct Connection is the current self-service setup path; External Connector helpers appear only for controlled deployments.
Workspaces
Section titled “Workspaces”Review Databricks workspaces discovered through the connector. Workspace labels can be customized for easier reporting.
Pricing
Section titled “Pricing”Manage DBU and cloud price overrides when your contracted rates differ from default list-price data. Pricing affects displayed cost and savings estimates.
Access
Section titled “Access”Manage users, invitations, and role assignments.
Billing
Section titled “Billing”Review plan, seat, trial, and checkout state where billing is enabled.
Display preferences
Section titled “Display preferences”Users can choose theme and cost display mode where plan and data availability allow it:
- Databricks cost: Databricks usage cost.
- Cloud cost: underlying infrastructure estimate when available.
- Total cost: Databricks plus cloud cost.
Exchange rates
Section titled “Exchange rates”If currency conversion is enabled, monthly exchange rates are used for display. The source cost model remains based on the collected billing and price data.
